Lancashire Federation of Women's Institutes
Well so far so good we have made it to another easing of the lock-down. Many of you will
be enjoying the delights of the hairdresser and preparing cosy blankets for outdoor visits.
However at LFWI we have travelled around the country with wonderful Zoom events.
Maggie Jones patiently took us through making Macramé bracelets and Claire Salmon
shared her expertise with Easter Bags that I am sure many grandchildren enjoyed
receiving. Heather Williams taught us some wonderful biscuit recipes ready for the
“garden parties” and Chef Alex encouraged us to try some delicious vegetarian dishes. We
have walked to freedom with Al Sylvester, been amazed with the strength and
determination of women at the North Pole and relaxed “Mindfully” with Lindsay Barrell.
The committee are busy planning future Zoom events for June and July as well as some
hands on classes in November and December.
There are so many Zoom events to tempt everyone so please do sign up, then relax
and learn in the comfort of your own home.
Keep cooking and crafting, enjoy the warm weather following the guidelines and most of
all look after yourselves and each other.
Thank you for your support with the LFWI events. Melanie Blackwell
